Shopping day/Journée de magazinage

February 2nd, 2008

Today, we decided to go do some shopping to get some important thing that will help us survive thru the next 3 months. Don't forget the place was empty. From things I knew in Japan, Jusco was one of them. Unfortunately, the only one I knew was located near Noda where the hombu dojo is, and no so close from here. Then I asked my friend google and he told me that there was one relatiely close to here.

It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the apartment to Jusco. There we found a few things we needed such as: Bowls, pans, utensils, chopsticks, shower curtain, little carpet, etc. We had lunch there and then walked back to our place.

We then went to BicCamera and bought a nice digital camera each. We were lucky enough to get help from someone that could speak a relatively good English. I bought a Canon IXY 810 IS. I also bought a wireless router with no help this time. Then we went to the 100 Yen shop (dollar store) and then we did some minimal grocery. Yeah, the fridge too is pretty small.

Back home after all that walking, I decided to setup the router... Oh oh! No router in the box... It was just a router case... Damn, I will have to construct some phrases tomorrow and try to exchage it for a real router.

Tomorrow, getting better in Japanese.

J'ai acheté une Canon IXY 810 IS.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
